Laser Skin Tightening

One method used to tighten neck skin and the chin area is laser skin tightening. Though laser neck tightening is not as dramatic as a surgical neck lift, it can be beneficial. Often it is used in combination with fillers such as Botox.

With a laser skin tightening procedure, a doctor or technician uses a highly focused laser to heat up very small sections beneath the outer layer of your skin. This intense and precision-focused heat causes the lower layers of your skin to react by producing collagen. As the collagen rushes to heal the damage done by the laser, it becomes a permanent part of your skin’s structure, firming and tightening the affected skin immediately.

How Fast Does It Work?

You will be able to see noticeable results the minute you finish the procedure, though the results will slowly become more and more pronounced over a period of three to four weeks. The effect are permanent, which is not to say that you will stop aging, but that the collagen produced through this procedure will remain a part of your skin. For best results a series of treatments will be needed.

Will Anyone Know I’ve Had A Cosmetic Procedure?

The results of a laser neck lift will vary from person to person. More dramatic in some and less so in others. It really depends on how the skin looked to start with and it is best to discuss realistic expectations with a trained specialist There are no outward signs indicating that a procedure has been performed such as scarring, sores, sutures, or bandages. Because all of the action takes place beneath the outer layers of your skin, you can go about your daily business soon after with no downtime.

What Areas Does Laser Skin Tightening Work On?

Laser skin tightening has been used with success to tighten neck skin, the chin area, saggy knees, elbows, underarms, and other body parts. Often loose skin is more pronounced in non-facial areas on the body, so keep in mind that the procedure has it’s limits. You’ll see improvements, but you can’t get back the neck you had at nineteen through laser skin tightening.

How Much Does It Cost?

Laser skin tightening isn’t too awfully expensive when compared to other cosmetic procedures and surgeries. Prices will vary depending depending on the location and equipment used. Expect to pay several hundred dollars a session. Often discount packages are available for multiple sessions. This compares favorably to injected wrinkle fillers like collagen. The bonus here is that a collagen injection will eventually wear off, but the natural collagen produced through laser skin tightening are yours to keep.

Many physicians and laser hair removal centers offer free consultations. This is a good way to evaluate if laser skin tightening is right for your needs and discuss all the options.

Turkey Neck

Ready to get rid of turkey neck?

In this article you will find some simple solutions that can help give you a more beautiful neck fast including a step by step plan!

Wikipedia defines turkey neck as subcutaneous fat around the neck that sags down and creates a wrinkle, making the owner appear to have a second chin. In reality, there can be a number of causes for the condition commonly called turkey neck, including excess fat, too much skin, overall tissue sagging, or loosened musculature.

Most of these conditions come on with age, though turkey neck can strike even younger people.

Naturally neck surgery is going to give the most dramatic results but you can greatly improve the appearance of turkey neck with out the expense, downtime and risk of under going the knife.

For best results use several techniques in combination.

Neck Firming Cream

A neck cream is one of the easiest, least invasive ways to help improve the appearance of turkey neck. But all neck creams are not created equal. The best neck creams for turkey neck have powerful, active ingredients that can help to increase skin elasticity and promote the production of natural collagen.

One of the best neck firming creams to try is Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.

This best selling cream is specifically designed for the thinning tissue of the neck and face. It contains an amino-peptide complex, intracellular fortifier and marine proteins to firm sagging areas, restore elasticity and smooth skin.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, 1.7 Ounce

It is very inexpensive (under $20.00) and can give beautiful results. The cream enjoys hundreds of rave reviews;

One happy user said ; “This cream is amazing as it really did “resculpt” my jaw line. I will never be without this cream”

Another user saw results super fast, “I purchased this item on a Wednesday, I saw a difference by the following Saturday!”

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

Be sure to use your neck cream daily. Consistent use will give you the most beautiful results.

You should combine the neck cream with other techniques to give the most powerful lift and tightening to the neck.

Here are some techniques that combined with a neck cream can help make a beautiful difference in your neck.

Using an at home microdermabrasion device at home is a great way to improve the appearance of the neck. It is affordable and convenient. In just one treatment, your neck will look smoother and this will improve with continued use. With a microdermabrasion device, you exfoliate the skin at a deep level. This removes the superficial top layers, revealing the fine skin beneath.

This is an excellent tool for both your face and neck. It helps remove fine lines, get rid of acne scars, even skin tone and more. And it works fast. Most people see results immediately. The skin looks and feels softer.

It also prepares the skin, allowing for deeper penetration of a neck firming cream.

One of the best systems is MicrodermMD. Though this at home system is not cheap. You will save hundreds of dollars doing it yourself at home over the cost of going to a spa.

Exfoliation is one of the best ways to help rejuvenate your skin.

Skin Supplements
Neither a lot more or less invasive than creams and lotions, I place the use of skin supplements below these solutions only because they tend to take longer to work. Skin supplements can help to increase the elasticity, thickness, and health of the skin, as well as supporting overall health, wellness, healing, and immune response. Some commonly used skin supplements for treating turkey neck include vitamins A, E, and C; Dimethylaminoethenol; and Alpha-lipoic Acid. These skin supplements can work solo, but work best when used together, as their effects are both cumulative and synergistic, so check the ingredients on any blended products you choose to take.

Weight Loss
If the turkey neck is caused by excess weight, losing weight will help. Use a quality program. One new method that is working for many people is Intermittent Fasting. You can read my book on it here: Intermittent Fasting: The Feast and Fast DietIntermittent Fasting: The Feast and Fast Diet

Neck Exercise

You can also tone up the neck using a Neckline Slimmer. Believe it or not – it totally works! Click here to read my review on the Neckline Slimmer. I personally use mine everyday and it has made a huge improvement in my neck.

Combining these at home methods will give a huge improvement to turkey neck, firming and rejuvenating the neck area. Try the simple step by step plan below to get rid of turkey neck.

Simple Steps to Diminish the Signs of Turkey Neck at Home

1. Twice a week exfoliate the neck area. You can exfoliate manually or with a machine. An at home microdermabrasion machine can work wonders.

Following these simple steps will make a beautiful difference in your neck!

There are also cosmetic surgery procedures available for Turkey Neck. These can be expensive but effective.

Surgical Neck Lift
A surgical neck lift will provide immediate, noticeable improvements in turkey neck, and can consist of any combination of a number of different procedures including fat removal, muscle tightening, strategically-placed sutures, and the actual removal of excess skin as in neck and chin liposuction. The cost of these procedures will run you between four and more than ten grand, and recovery time can be as little as four days to more than a month. The procedure itself may take less than an hour, but usually takes between two and four hours to complete. The positives here are that the results are the most impressive you’ll see, with the down sides being cost and the invasive nature of surgical solutions.

Cosmetic injectables run the gamut from silicone to Botox to collagen, and a number of other options, natural and synthetic, common and proprietary. Each injectable product has different properties to consider. Some are all natural, while some are very much not. Some provide near-permanent results, while others tend to wear off over time and need to be repeated. Finally, the cost of injectable varies widely. A neck treatment might be had for a couple hundred bucks and repeated every so often for best effect, or a more permanent and high-end product could cost many thousands of dollars. The procedure is less invasive than surgery, but still carries some medical risk of adverse reactions, infection, or uneven settling of product under the skin.

Turkey neck can be a potentially embarrassing and upsetting condition, but is rarely as noticeable as you may think. Solutions exist, and can have a great impact on the appearance of turkey neck.

Our recommendation is to try the “Simple Steps to Diminish the Signs of Turkey Neck at Home” listed above. It is amazing how much of a difference you can make in your neck with a just a few minutes a day! Give it a try and see for yourself!

Chin Implant

When it comes to having implant surgery, the chin is probably the last place considered. However a chin implant is performed for several reasons. Most often it is done to correct what is called a “weak chin”, which basically means that the chin line is not very well defined. This can lead to the appearance of an overly fat or fleshy neck. It can also make the nose appear larger than it actually is on the face. Aside from its cosmetic complications a weak chin can also contribute to jaw and teeth problems. On the other side of the coin, an overly prominent chin can make the nose appear smaller. The desirable outcome here is to have a balanced looking face, and the chin is important to this effort.

People who wish to have chin augmentation done may find the requirements quite strict. A patient must be in good physical health and have no pre-existing conditions before surgery is considered. A patient cannot have suffered from a bone disorder. Patients cannot have taken the drug Accutane for at least six months, or preferably longer. Accutane has been shown to cause adverse side effects during a transplant process. It promotes bone growth in the facial areas at wildly accelerated rates. This is called keloidism and can be quite painful to go through and even more so to have treated.

The patient must also be mentally and emotionally stable to go through the chin implants procedure. Due to the long time in healing, and the pain that can follow during the healing process, it is not recommended for people who have trouble controlling their emotions. If you are considering a chin implant you will want to discuss the short and long term benefits and side effects with a physician.

Even though a chin implant is not a very difficult surgical procedure, complications can develop. One of the most common is an allergic reaction to whatever anesthetic is used. Another common problem is infection of the surgical site. The skin on the face is very sensitive. Any problems could have long term effects. Smokers are advised to quit before having this procedure done. Nicotine can constrict the blood vessels during the healing process, which leads to something called necrosis, which is a fancy way of saying your skin will fall off if you don’t put that cigarette out.

A chin implant can make a dramatic difference in your appearance. Discuss it with a board cerfified physician to see if it is the right option for you.

Neck Firming Cream

Neck firming cream

For some, droopy, sagging, “turkey-neck,” is an unavoidable part of aging. The combination of excess fat stored in the neck and a loss of elasticity and firmness in the skin leads to this unfortunate and unattractive condition.

While surgical procedures like a “neck lift,” and liposuction can have an impressive effect on sagging neck skin, these procedures can be expensive, painful, and risky. In some cases, surgical solutions place you at real risk of infection. It’s understandable, then that many are looking for a less-invasive solution to drooping neck skin and turkey-neck. One commonly advertised solution is a topical neck firming cream. Can these creams be effective? What should one look for in a good neck firming cream? In this article, we’ll answer these questions and more about neck firming creams.

Do neck firming creams work? In some cases they can be very effective. When coupled with focused weight loss efforts, neck firming cream can be an incredibly useful part of an overall strategy to lose underlying neck fat while firming and tightening the skin. Neck firming creams will never deliver the overnight results of a neck-life procedure, but over time, they can deliver impressive and visible results.

What to Look for in a Neck Firming Cream.

A neck firming cream should contain ingredients designed to reduce fat deposits, tighten the skin, stimulate circulation, heal damaged skin such as sun spots, reduce wrinkles, and moisturize.

We recommend Dermagist Neck Cream (also known as Dermajuv). Dermagist contains a weath of nutrient rich ingredients including Stem Cells, Sesaflash, Hyaluronic Acid and Matryxil.

Get the Best Results with a Neck Firming Cream

To get great results with a Neck Firming Cream you will need to exfoliate the skin on a regular basis. Exfoliants can be chemical (examples include lemon juice or alpha hydroxy acid) or mechanical (such as oatmeal or micro-bead scrubs) and work to remove old, dead, and dying skin cells from the skin’s surface, exposing the younger, more elastic skin underneath. We personally recommend the MicrodermMD Microdermabrasion System for exfoliation. This works wonders to soften and smooth skin.

You can learn more about MicrodermMD here; MicrodermMD

Proper exfoliation should not be painful, but can leave a mild burning sensation behind. Exfoliated skin is more supple than older skin cells, and will respond better to the firming action of the antioxidants in the neck firming cream. Antioxidants combat aging and free the body’s immune system to heal and firm your skin by neutralizing free radicals – chemical elements that can damage skin cells and prevent regeneration. Freed from the work of fighting free radicals, your body can focus on healing. Many antioxidants also stimulate the development and production of natural collagen, a known skin firming component within the skin. Follow the directions on the exfoliant you are using and adjust to your skin type to determine how often to exfoliate the skin.

With smooth, exfoliated skin apply neck firming cream lightly to the neck in an upward direction. You want to lift up the skin, not tug it downwards. It is important to be consistent and use the neck cream on a regular basis. Use once or twice a day depending on the cream you are using.

Sun protection is important when you are regularly exfoliating, as the younger skin cells you are exposing are less able to protect themselves from the sun’s harsh rays, which means you will burn more easily. Look for something with an SPF of 30 or above, or make sure to use a separate sunscreen when you’ll be exposed to direct sun. Moisturizers plump the skin up, and hydrate your skin cells, not only making them firmer and more flexible, but allowing the cells to perform their other duties of maintenance and elimination much more efficiently. This cellular energy savings allows the cells to commit more resources to healing and skin health.

While some neck firming creams do contain sunscreen, many do not because the chemicals when mixed together in a bottle would interfere with the effectiveness of the product. Check your neck firming cream to see if it contains sunscreen and if it does not be sure to use sunscreen on a daily basis. La Roche Posay is a good one.

Neck firming cream can be a great alternative to invasive surgical procedures or even botox injections. Make sure to check the ingredients of the product you choose for the elements listed above. Given time, a quality neck firming cream can make a noticeable improvement for a sagging, droopy neck.

Want a beautiful, neck that is buttery soft? Exfoliate with MicrodermMD. Use Dermagist Neck Cream and be sure to use a good sunscreen like La Roche Posay.

Neck Lift Without Surgery

When you look in the mirror, do you think that it’s time to do something about your sagging neck? You know that you need to take action, but you don’t want to have to deal with the headache, risk, and expense of invasive plastic surgery. Fortunately, there are many low cost, safe, and easy options available to provide a neck lift without surgery and still get great results.

One of the leading ways to enjoy a non surgical neck lift is to get a laser or radio wave treatment. These treatments work to stimulate the collagen in your skin, which causes it to tighten and become firmer. This results in a more youthful appearance. Laser treatments may require multiple treatments to be effective, which could make them cost-prohibitive for some people. The amount and type of treatments required varies depending on your skin type, your goals, and the nature of the specific areas you are having treated. A doctor can provide you with more information and estimate what your individual treatment path will be.

Botox is an option for those who have a sagging neck, but not a double chin. Botox works with the muscles at the injection site to create a firmer, tighter area. Botox is an affordable neck lift without surgery option, but the results are temporary, and continued treatments will be required to maintain your appearance. Another benefit of Botox is the speed and painlessness: you only need to sit for a few injections. You’re done in minutes, and if you can handle getting a shot you can handle Botox.

There are many volumizers and fillers available for those who want to address those awkward looking ropy neck muscles. Sometimes, they aren’t applied to the neck at all. If you have jowls or droopy skin around that area, you may consider a volumizing face injection. Typically given in the cheeks, these injections work to pull skin up and away from the jawline. This gives your face a more youthful, full appearance and addresses your neck simultaneously. This option is a high value non surgical neck lift procedure, since many areas benefit at once. The results are long-term, and the potential complications are minimal.

In addition to these neck lift without surgery procedures, there are many creams and ointments that can improve the look of the neck at a fraction of the price. Generally, creams and ointments are not as effective as surgery or the non surgical neck lift options above, but they can deliver results. One that we recommend is Dermagist neck cream. Click here to read our review on Dermagist Neck Restoration Cream. Click here to see before and afters with Dermagist neck cream; Dermagist Neck Cream Before and Afters

There is no right or wrong answer when deciding which non surgical neck lift procedure is right for you. Everyone has different needs, budgets, preferences, pain thresholds, and more. Make sure you understand the costs, benefits, and risks of the procedure you are considering, and if you need guidance, please ask a health care professional.

Exercises For Double Chin

Click Here For A Five-Minute Chin And Face-lift

Exercise does a body plenty of good, and there are exercises for double chin loss that are good too. They’re focused on the one area and many have seen their results after sticking with the practice of them. Read on to learn 5 simple exercises for double chin loss.

Basic Information

Before sharing the exercises, it is necessary to share a bit of basic information. The double chin is created by fat deposits and taking care of your body as a whole is of dire importance; otherwise these exercises are sure to be done in vain. Drink plenty of water and make healthy eating choices, eliminating fatty junk foods from your diet. Even if you don’t struggle with weight issues (as a double chin can also result from aging or you may simply collect most of your fat intake in that area) exercising your entire body, keeping good posture and eating right will all contribute to you losing a double chin and keeping it off.

Double Chin Exercises
When performing double chin exercises and neck exercises for double chin loss, the emphasis is on strengthening the platysma muscle, which controls the downward movement of the jaw and the corners of the mouth.

These exercises will help you do that:
The ShovelOpen your mouth wide and pull your lower lip over your bottom teeth, then work your jaw up and down as if you were “scooping or shoveling”.

The Kissy Face –Tilt your head back and point your chin up then pucker your lips, holding them in that “kissy” position for ten seconds.

The Sitting Jaw Stretch – Sit -back and shoulders straightened – in a comfortable chair with arm rests. Hold you head up high and slowly recline; keep going as far back as you can, feeling the stretch in your jaw muscles.

The Chin Slap – Surely you’ve witnessed the chin slap in your lifetime. Many a aging Hollywood actress has done this one on the big screen. All you have to do is give your chin a few gentle slaps with the back of your hand a couple of minutes a day.

The Gum Chew – Simple and enjoyable. All you have to do is put your muscles to work on a piece of sugar free gum!

Patience and continued practice of these exercises for double chin loss will get you the results you want so you can feel confident about chin and overall appearance!

I also highly recommend the Neckline Slimmer. This little device really works. Read more in my review here; Neckline Slimmer

Chin Liposuction

Is a double chin bringing you down? You’re not alone. Many people -men and women alike- have double chins they want to rid themselves of. For some, using methods to hide that chin are enough and others exhibit great patience in their practice of exercises for double chin to lose it. However, if you just want to be done with your double chin already, you may want to look into chin liposuction.

What is Chin Liposuction?

Double chin liposuction is a surgical procedure that results in the removal of the fat that has collected under the chin. In the procedure of double chin liposuction, a small incision is made under the chin and local anesthetic is applied to numb the area before a small tube is inserted into the incision to suction out the stored fat. There are alternative techniques for removal of chin fat, including the use of a laser. Though it sounds like a fairly simple procedure, it is still an invasive surgery and should be taken as seriously as other forms of surgery.

What Are the Positives?

Naturally, the most obvious positive of having a liposuction chin procedure is getting the nice, slim chin you desire. After all, that is the point of the surgery. Aside from having the surgery go well, other overall positives include few side effects after having gone through with the procedure. For the most part it is a non-time consuming means of losing a double chin and boasts a quick recovery time.

What Are the Pitfalls?

While the procedure can produce satisfactory results, it still has its pitfalls or less than desirable occurrences you may experience. Your lower face and chin area may be swollen for the first few days and bruising and experiencing various tingling and burning sensations for the first few weeks is common also. It’s likely you won’t be able to eat directly following your chin liposuction procedure, and certain foods you will be warned against consuming (such as sushi).

What is the Cost?

Double chin liposuction cost can be a concern for those genuinely interested in going this route to lose their chubby chin. The cost will differ depending on the surgeon used, amount of chin fat needing to be removed and the technique used to remove it. Generally, the cost is around $1500-$4000.

If you’re serious about getting rid of your double chin and want to get rid of it as quickly as possible, chin liposuction may be ideal. Be sure to carefully research surgeons before going through with the procedure to ensure the best results.

How To Hide A Double Chin

Double chins can be a real confidence killer and getting rid of them takes patience and persistence. Luckily, there are ways to camouflage your chubby chin. Now you can feel confident fast for that upcoming special occasion or where ever you may be going this very night! Read on to learn how to hide a double chin.

Hiding with a Tan

If you have pale skin, try a tan to hide a double chin. If you think about it, dark clothes make you look slimmer. Light clothes make you look bigger. Same with your skin. Using a tanning lotion will go a long way to create the illusion of a slimmer chin and dramatically change your appearance. Just avoid ones that go on streaky and orange. Try an at home tanning system. New technology results in even, beautiful color. One to try; Belloccio Sunless Tanning Airbrush System

Hiding with Posture and Positioning

What’s the first thing you can do about your double chin to make it less prominent? You can start standing up straight with your shoulders back and your head held high (just like your mom always told you to). This adds length to your neck and causes it to appear thinner; it also makes your body look better overall.

Hiding with Clothing and Accessories

What you wear can affect the appearance of your double chin. To be straight to the point, high necklines are a no-no for those concerned about double chins. Turtle necks are the worst wardrobe choice in this case. Make an effort to wear shirts and blouses that are lower cut or have a v-shaped neckline. Wearing shirts that cut off just under the chin will draw attention to it. When accessorizing, avoid chokers and oversized earrings that hang close to the neck. The key to hiding your double chin is in drawing attention elsewhere.

Hiding with Make up

You don’t have to be a make-up expertise to make it work for you when trying to hide a double chin. It might help to consult one though. What you can do yourself is emphasize other facial features. Wear bright lipstick, mascara and liner that make your eyes “pop” and downplay that double chin by lightly applying foundation and bronzer to your jaw line.

Hiding with Hairstyles

What are the best hairstyles for double chins? Contrary to what is commonly said about hiding a double chin with long hair, shorter hair styles are the way to go. Why? Because they take attention away from the neckline. Keeping hair away from the area will draw eyes towards the hair itself instead of to the chin it surrounds. If a pixie doesn’t sound too pretty to you, fear not. Ask your stylist to cut your hair so it does not stop just above or below your chin, or in layers.

Hiding with a Beard

If you are a guy trying growing a short beard. This is very effective at hiding a double chin.

These tips have shown you how to hide a double chin, now you can boldly go about your day without feeling self conscious about yours!
